Demolition Services That Clear the Way

Updated October 2026

Most landscaping projects don't fail at installation. They fail at prep. A cracked concrete slab that doesn't get fully removed, roots that aren't ground out, or a base that isn't properly graded will compromise whatever goes on top. Our demolition services exist to eliminate those variables. We're licensed in AZ, STC Certified, and carry a 4.9-star rating across 27 Google reviews, specifics that matter when a crew is swinging a breaker on your property. Call (623) 263-2652 to get a free quote before your project starts.

The scope of a demolition job drives cost more than any other factor. Removing a small concrete pad is straightforward. Pulling out a full paver patio with an embedded fire pit, multiple tree stumps, and years of compacted caliche underneath is a different operation entirely. Access, square footage, material type, and what's going underneath all affect the price. We handle debris haul-out as part of the job, nothing gets left on-site for you to deal with. Every job is different, contact InfinityTurf Landscaping LLC for an accurate estimate.

What We Demolish and Remove

One crew handles every material type, no subcontractors, no handoffs.

01

Concrete Slabs and Patios

We break, lift, and remove concrete in sections, old patios, sidewalks, pool decks, and aprons. Caliche-hardened soil underneath gets addressed too, not just covered over.

02

Paver and Block Removal

Existing pavers that are cracked, heaved, or outdated come out cleanly. We pull them without damaging the surrounding structure so the new travertine or paver install starts with a true, level base.

03

Existing Turf and Sod

Dead natural grass, deteriorated artificial turf, and overgrown sod all go. We remove the material down to the sub-base so the new artificial turf installation bonds to a clean, properly graded surface.

04

Overgrown Vegetation and Structures

Overgrown shrubs, old block walls, deteriorated pergola footings. If it's in the way, we remove it. We protect the perimeter of your property and don't leave the surrounding landscape worse than we found it.

05

Grading After Demo

Demolition alone doesn't prepare a site. After clearing, we can handle grading and resloping to establish correct drainage, critical in the desert where a flat yard becomes a pond after monsoon season.

06

Full Debris Haul-Out

Every load leaves the property the same day. Concrete chunks, old turf rolls, vegetation, and any other material are loaded and hauled. You don't schedule a separate dumpster or coordinate a second contractor.

Our Process

How a Demo Job Actually Runs

  1. 01

    Site Walk and Quote

We assess what's coming out, what's staying, and what the ground condition looks like underneath. You get a clear scope. No vague estimates that balloon once we're on site.

  2. 02

    Demolition and Removal

Specialized equipment handles the heavy work while we protect adjacent structures, irrigation lines, and property edges. Disruption is contained to the project zone.

  3. 03

    Cleanup and Prep Handoff

Debris is fully hauled before we leave. If the next phase is custom landscape design or a new install, the site is ready for it, no secondary cleanup needed.

Why It Matters

Skipping Proper Demo Costs More Later

concrete slabs and patios work, professional service in Phoenix, AZ
We've seen it on nearly every job where we're brought in to fix someone else's work: the previous crew left a partial slab, didn't pull the roots, or graded wrong and walked away. A new turf or paver install over poor prep will heave, sink, or drain improperly inside two years. Honestly, the demo phase is where corners get cut the most, because it's not the pretty part of the job. We don't rush it. If there's caliche hardpan below the surface, that gets addressed before anything else goes down. If there are buried irrigation lines that need to be rerouted before we remove a slab, we identify that during the site walk, not mid-demolition. That's the difference between a one-call job and a project with three callbacks. See the full scope of our finished installs in our project gallery.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I demo my own concrete patio before you install turf or pavers?
You can, but it's rarely the right call. Homeowner-removed concrete slabs often leave uneven sub-base, buried roots, or grade problems that look fine on the surface but cause drainage failure or turf lift within a year. We've quoted jobs where a DIY demo actually added cost because we had to rework the base before we could install anything. If you want to remove small edging or decorative rock, that's reasonable, full slab removal is a different conversation.
How is a demolition job priced in the Phoenix Valley?
Square footage is the starting point, but it's not the whole picture. Material type (concrete vs. pavers vs. old turf), access width, haul distance, what's underneath (caliche is common in desert yards and requires additional equipment), and whether grading is needed after removal all affect the final number. We assess all of that during the site walk and give you a clear scope before anything starts. Every job is different, contact InfinityTurf Landscaping LLC for an accurate estimate.
What happens to the debris after demolition?
It leaves the same day. Concrete, old turf rolls, vegetation, and any other removed material are loaded and hauled during the job. We don't leave a pile for you to arrange a separate dumpster around. That said, if your project is phased over multiple days, material removed on each day goes that same day, the site stays clear for the next phase to start without delays.
Do you need to know what's going in before you start demolition?
Yes, and this is one reason a combined demo-plus-install project runs better than using a separate demo crew. What goes in determines how the base needs to be prepared after removal. Artificial turf requires a different aggregate base than a paver patio. Knowing the end product before demo starts means we can address drainage grade, caliche depth, and compaction in one continuous workflow instead of creating rework between phases.
Will the demo crew protect my existing irrigation and fence lines?
Site protection is built into our process, not an add-on. Before demolition starts, we identify irrigation lines, gas lines near the work zone, fence posts, and any hardscape or planting that's staying. We don't assume a line isn't live. We locate it. If there's an irrigation component that needs to be capped or rerouted before a slab comes out, that gets handled in the site walk, not discovered mid-job.
How long does a typical yard demolition take?
A single concrete patio or average-sized natural grass removal typically runs one day. Larger scopes, full backyard demo with multiple material types, block wall removal, or extensive root clearing, can run two days. We don't compress a two-day job into one day to free up the crew. The base has to be right, and rushing the demo phase is what creates the callback jobs we're sometimes called to fix.
